Our Mission...

Our mission is to reduce the shelter intake and euthanasia of dogs and cats by making high quality, low cost spay/neuter services available to residents of our community.

SSNA is a 501(c)(3) private non-profit organization.

New Clinic Construction

2014 New Sumner Spay Neuter Clinic Rendering

It is hard to believe that the Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance has already been going strong for 2 1/2 years! What's even more remarkable is that we have performed almost 16,000 spay/ neuter surgeries in that time. With the help of loyal supporters and a compassionate community, we have SAVED LIVES by preventing the births of thousands of unwanted puppies and kittens across middle Tennessee.

The demand for our services continues to grow, and we are determined to accommodate anyone who wants their pet spayed or neutered. Due to a waiting list of over 700 dogs and cats, we are currently scheduling appointments five weeks out from the time of call. This is unacceptable - too many kittens and puppies are a result of the "oops" factor.
 
We have outgrown our small facility, and are proud to announce that in the spring of 2014, we plan to open a new, 3,000 square foot spay/neuter clinic, designed to meet the ever-increasing need! We will more than double our capacity - THANKS TO YOUR GENEROSITY!

At the Sumner Spay Neuter Alliance,
we live that adage every day. It is critical that we continue our efforts
on a larger scale, and save more lives. Too many animals are suffering on the streets and dying in animal shelters.
It is our mission to prevent those animals from being born into a world where there are already far too many who are unwanted.
 
We have located a building in Gallatin, but we must raise $30,000 to renovate, purchase equipment and make the move to expand our services.
